Picture Yourself: an Art Self - Exploration, David Baudemont
Art therapy is a non-intrusive self-exploration method based on the natural relationship between art and mind. Participants will have the chance to explore their personal world of symbols in a playful manner, through alternating games and individual art making. The facilitator with act both as a participant and a group leader, monitoring everyone's comfort level at all times. Participants will also have the chance to discover and test easy-to-use techniques such as visualization, narratives, psychodrama and Gestalt. No artistic talent required.
David Baudemont is a professionally trained art therapist. He has a Ph.D. in science and has a Master-level Diploma in Art Therapy recognized by the Canadian Art Therapy Association (CATA). He is currently working with adolescents, children and adults with disbilities and young artists "at risk". He is also an award-winning fiction writer with more than 10 years of experience in facilitating creative writing workshops.

Star Ribbon Quilt – This is an old traditional quilt pattern that is fast and easy to do. Only one block pattern is used repeatedly to construct the quilt. The technique is suitable for beginners. You can decide what size you want the quilt to be.

A Picnic of Tai Chi in the Park, Donna Lindsay
As a follow up to a Taste of Taiji, Donna is offering an 8-week class focusing on the Yang Style 24 Form. While still a beginner level class, it is preferred that students have taken a class with Donna before or have taiji experience as she will be working through the form relatively quickly.To experience the benefits of taiji in a fresh air setting, classes of the spring session will be held in Victoria School playground, directly across from the Refinery ( and move into the Refinery when weather unsuitable).

Within the framework of verses, stories, songs and music, the class is designed to guide the child’s understanding of her/his body and to nurture movement exploration and language development. The first 45 minutes will be a facilitated/taught class, followed by ½ hour of socializing.Tina has been dancing, teaching and learning with children for the past eight years. She holds a B. Ed from the U of S and has studied modern dance technique and choreography in Montreal.
